Your Local Surf Guide
Surfing Maps is a collective of research and local knowledge to give you the best coverage of surf spots in Australia. Our project began as one simple handwritten chart of ideal swell and wind direction for our local breaks. After a week-long surf trip, many beers, and meeting new friends, this one chart led to an idea… and a map.
We teamed up with the legends at Skater Maps, who managed to find some time to trade in their boards for ones with fins and together we have mapped surf breaks for all states of Australia.
At Surfing Maps we support local communities and environmental projects and endeavour to promote a surfers initiative in protecting our beautiful beaches while respecting the locals and their surf breaks.

I love that you can locate surf breaks by searching on the map, instead of having to know the name/location of the break prior. What a great way to explore our coastlines and discover new waves.
